Ecological Event

CECAM also works with volunteers in the creation and completion of other projects that work on an ad hoc basis; usually thought up and completed by volunteers and funded by them as well.

Recycling Plastic Bags

CECAM has worked in the San Sebastian prison to help the women living there. In Cochabamba, Bolivia, women inside the prison need to generate income in order to live and to feed their families at the same time.   But because they are in prison, they are denied opportunities to generate income.  In practice, we were helping these women develop new skills that will benefit their families while protecting the environment.

Using discarded plastic bags, the women would recycle them and knit them into new ecological products for commercialization. This was a sustainable project as it was able to be continued by the women once the official project run by CECAM volunteers had ended.

Our plan is that once a stabilised system of receiving funds has been realized, that we will be able to continue and create new projects like this.

CECAM también trabaja con voluntarios para crear proyectos; usualmente los voluntarios empiezan y acaban estos proyectos, y también están financiado por ellos.

CECAM ha trabajado en la cárcel de San Sebastián ayudando a las mujeres viviendo ahí. En Cochabamba, las mujeres en la cárcel necesitan para vivir y dar comida a sus familias al mismo vez.  Por estar en la cárcel, están rechazada la oportunidad a ganar dinero. Estamos ayudando estas mujeres ganar nuevas habilidades _­ para ayudar a sus familias y al mismo vez estamos protegiendo el medio ambiente.

Usando bolsas de plástico desechados, las mujeres téjenlos para hacer productos ecológicos que pueden vender.  Este proyecto era sostenible porque podía estar continuada por las mujeres cuando la proyecto oficial de CECAM se ha terminado.

Nuestro plan es cuando una sistema de recibir fondos está estabilizada, podemos continuar y crear nuevos proyectos como este.
